There are lots of people who live in poverty these days. Poverty means people are unable to get sufficient funds to fulfil their basic needs. Poor people means miserable people and people have lack of facility in goods and services. Poverty means lack of important goods in life such as food and shelter. Every country no matter how affluent has groups of people who live in poverty. This essay will explain the some of the main causes of poverty and their possible solutions.
From my point of view there are so many causes for poverty first the resources are limited, secondly, poverty increases and widespread due to lack of technology. So poverty affects the cognitive development of poor children, as well as their learning behaviour, potential and skills. Due to poverty, People suffer various problems such as hunger, death, health problems and people suffer socially and economically.
From my perspective, in some cases, the war has been major causes of poverty. For example, the recent war in Bosnia due to this people evicted from their homes as well as deprived of food and shelter. Due to war poverty increase, people have lack of facilities and services such as hospitals, schools, gas, water and electricity. So war is the major causes of worldwide revulsion and sorrow.
Apart from that, the main causes of poverty are problems of overpopulation and underdevelopment are the major cause of overpopulation. So to control overpopulation country should take steps to reduce their birth rate and develop resources of the country. Besides, underdeveloped countries do not create enough wealth per capita for their people to escape from poverty. Furthermore, the causes of poverty are that some countries are facing the scourges of famine and disease. So the only solution to their problems is to take massive aid from the rest of the world.
There are many effects of poverty that you can observe.The first effect of poverty is unemployment, Due to unemployment lot of youth do not get jobs and suffer from poverty. Another major effect of poverty due to unemployment problem they have suffered from tensions, stress and these things have adversely affected their health. As a result, poor people have the shortest life expectancy.
Poverty effects are very serious. Children who suffer poverty since their childhood have faced very severe problems related to their health as compared to the children that have grown under better financial circumstances. Apart from that, Children who nourish in poverty have sometimes suffered from chronic diseases and often miss school due to their illness.
The population of India is increasing day by day. Recently the growth rate of population is 1.8%.So there is needed to lower the growth of population. There is needed to take proper measures to control poverty.
For this government should develop small scale and Cottage industries and take some improvements in the agriculture sector to generate employment for the people.
A government should take suitable steps to fulfil the needs of poor people there is a proper provision of primary health centres and there is a proper availability of education for the youth that resides in rural areas.
