In the modern era, drug addiction is the greatest curse for the society. Some people think that the youth are tempted and enticed by their friends, to get more drugs and smags, pills, powder to get thrilled. After the very first dose of drugs, youth become victims of drugs, pills, powder. So there is need to control the use of legal or illegal drugs, medication. While others believe that, youth start taking drugs to get relief from their tensions, anxieties. I tend to believe that, with rapid urbanization and modernization, the people suffer from psychological strains, due to reason they are the victims of drug abuse. So there is needed to take some steps to control this problem and make every citizen drug free.

Firstly, Question arises, what is drug addiction? Drug addiction is a kind of disease and disorder that has totally changed the socio-economic values of the world. So there is the need to aware the youth about the misuses of drugs, so that young generation stays free from drugs. For Example, It is a fact that, if the person is once addicted by drugs, after taking the first dose of drugs, the person again desire to continue to use in their life despite the harm it causes. In that case, his family should take attempts to stop drug addiction use; despite the youth have the intense desire for drugs which makes physically ill. To overcome this problem, a family should consult to doctor, support group or an organized treatment programs which help the person to free from drugs.

Secondly, there are so many reasons for drug addiction, there is need to change the environment of our surroundings that affect the mental level of youth life. The main reason is a poor standard of education, the uninspiring, boring, dull role of parents, and the absence of adequate facilities in youth life, unemployment, and overburden of studies. In addition, the youth belonging to affluent families also start taking drugs. So there is the need in the modern era to eradicate the problems of drug addiction from the society.

 

To fight this menace, every citizen of the country should come forward. Parents should make friendly relation with their kids. Parents should always keen a sense of humor in the family and voluntary cooperation with their children.

At the same time, parents should keep an eye on children activities, so that they do not move in the wrong direction.

From time to time, parents should supervise and vigilant to their children. In addition, the government should take steps and organize the campaign to aware the youth about the misuses of drugs.

A government should identify drugs traffickers and punish them severely. In this way, the problem of drug abuse is eliminated from the society.
