Festivals play an important role in everyone life because it shows connectivity with the past traditions, culture, and history. Celebrating Festivals together get relief and relaxing to everyone from the monotonous life. These days everyone celebrates festivals with their kith and kiln but in reality, new generation does not know the original value of any festival and its previous history. These days’ youngsters do not know in reality the exact reasons behind celebrating festivals.
People enjoy festivals in many ways such as wearing expensive clothes, eating a variety of dishes as well as decorative their homes. In the modern era, when any festivals come, then teenagers are more involved with shopping, exchange of gifts, enjoying meals with friends, and they feel festivals are the only source of holiday period rather than practicing religion.
There are a lot of festivals are celebrated in our country. But I like holy festival most. The holy festival is celebrated every year in the month of March. It is festival of colors.People celebrated this festival with lots of joy, love, and enthusiasm. People on this festival sing religious songs related to Holi, this festival brings people closer and spread the feeling of love among people.
On this festival, people hug, handshake with each other. This is a symbol of brotherhood on Holi festival people apply colored spot and mark on the forehead of each other. People share a lot of sweets barbecues with each other. This Holi festival celebrates at the beginning of spring season.
There is a story of celebrating holy festival every year with fervor. Long years ago, a devil Holika holding Prahlad in her lap tried to burn Prahlad in the big fire. Holika was the devil sister of Hiranyakashyap but Prahlad believe in god and he was a true devotee of God. So God saved his life from devil Holika.
Holika all attemptation to burn Prahlad and change into ashes failed. So from this day, Hindu people realize that it was the victory of goodness over the devil. So after this, people started to celebrate this festival every year with a lot of passion. On this day all the school college’s offices and other institution are closed all the people celebrated this festival by spraying colorful colors to each other.
Moreover in schools during traditional Holi festival, children sing songs related to Holi as well as sharing stories behind the history of Holi with one another.
To cap it all, in the modern era people celebrate festivals for enjoyment and ignore the real importance and value of various festivals nowadays in some countries various types of convention festivals and celebration have vanished and disappearing. Celebrations and festivals play an important role in human life. So It has the bad impact on the society. So it is a duty of government, parents as well as schools authorities to educate the children by giving proper information regarding tradition and proper history of celebrating festivals.
