What is terrorism
Terrorism is a curse; it is a very ghastly thing to society. Terrorism is the danger in which armed men start killing the unarmed people. This is unjust, unnatural activity. The people have suffered a mental agony. There is a state of uncertainty everywhere due to terrorism. We have started to suspect everyone and everything near to our surroundings due to terrorist activities.
Now terrorism is spreading like a wildfire throughout the world. Now terrorism is a phenomenon of national magnitude. Assam is boiling, Jammu and Kashmir are melting and south India is suffering.
Effects of terrorism:
In Punjab, the state of terrorism started during Janta Government time. Many Sikh militant organizations started killing Hindus and Sikhs. An atmosphere of awe and suspense prevailed everywhere. Security forces and local police did all their efforts to curb the terrorism.
AK 47 rifles, bomb last have used in acts of terrorism. Terrorists killed people, destroyed property, and created the worst environment everywhere. Political leaders gave air to it. God, the Supreme Commander has to come down from heaven to save us all and guide the misguided.
Law changes human violent behavior to some extent:
It is fact that Law changes human behaviors. If all prisoners have properly counseled by psychologists in prison, then to some extent we are able to change the cruel behavior & mental status of criminals. With the strenuous efforts, we are able to reduce the crime from society. Last but not least the government should promote rehabilitation facility to criminals in prison in order to divert their behavior & to become the better citizen of the country.
Law changes the outlook of the individual if it is properly implemented
The law means to follow the rules and regulations framed by the government for the welfare of society. The main purpose of the law to change and shape the violent behavior and makes a person a good human being.
It is generally accepted a statement that law compels the common people to change their behavior. So punishment and reward connected with a law is the main reason for changing the identity of the human being.
For example, Law of following the traffic rules framed by a government is only for the public safety and fear of punishment of breaking law compels the public to strictly follow it.
But these laws are only designed for the betterment of society as well as individuals. People obey the laws and they know that if anyone disobeys the laws framed by the government will be severely punished. Breaking the law only means put themselves in trouble only.
The fear of consequences of punishment has changed the attitude of the person towards life. The law of women’s safety brings a positive change in the behavior of women. So laws influence common people in a variety of ways.
Sometimes legal rules and regulation have a negative impact on the life of the individual:
Sometimes mental harassment and torture in jail has made the criminals crueler rather than make them a good citizen. Due to this environment, the large number of criminal’s behavior has not changed and kept on committing crimes even after their punishment.
Steps should be taken by societal as well as a governmental level to prevent such behaviors of criminal & repeated crimes. Several actions should be taken by the government to tackle this problem & reform the criminal activities. The government should enforce vocational training in jails for criminals so that they do have options to do indulge in some activity after they released from jail.
Everyone should deal with criminals in a well-mannered way after their release from jail:
• The rejection by society, as well as social alienation, tempts ex-prisoners to take revenge and commit the crime again.
• Secondly, their past criminals’ records make it difficult for ex-prisoners to find employment. Consequently, they get into crime again to get over their poverty.
• Finally, some are professional criminals so they are used for performing criminal activities, so they cannot stop it ever, after getting punished.
In a nutshell, there are specific reasons for offenders to commit the crime again. However, to deal with it there is a need to treat the criminals in a well-mannered way and they should be given equal status in society as they normal people have. Through this way. One can eradicate prodigious crime from society.
