Gautama Buddha founded the Buddhism Religion
Vedic rites and practices were useless for salvation according to Buddhism. According to Buddha man who performs good deeds will rebirth in higher life. According to Buddhism, man gets a lot of sorrows in their life in the desire of worldly things as well as repeated births. According to Buddhism, man has to follow a middle course in order to get rid of sufferings and sorrows. Buddhism religion represents belief, thoughts, speech, action, and meditation is the right way to attain god.Buddhism religion is based on logical principles. Buddhism religion is based on truth and reality. It is clear and vague. Siddhartha Gautama created Buddhism who was born in the sixth century B.C. Siddhartha spent a life like a young prince. His father name was Suddhodana. He was a ruler of Sakya people.
Siddhartha was married to young girl Yasodhra at age of sixteen. His father forced him to live a life of total seclusion. But one day Siddhartha venture out of empire to find the harsh reality of life.Buddhism is the kind of religion. Religion means follow sacred principles in life. Religion has been founded in almost many countries like India, China, Japan, North America and Europe for past few centuries. Buddhism means virtue, honesty is its own reward. According to Buddhism, an honest person has nothing to fear in life. He enjoys great peace of mind. He earns affection and respect from others and becomes a source of inspiration for them. Thus for success, happiness, peace in life, we must always be honest.
Life Of Gautama Buddha
Gautama Buddha is known as Lord Buddha. In a village of Lumbini, he got birth to Subhodhan. His father was a vassal of Emperor of Khalsa. Gautama Buddha was married at the early age of sixteen to a beautiful girl named Yashodra. His father always tried him to engage in various earthly pleasures.
He thought that the world was full of a lot of miseries and sorrows when he saw three sights one day while he was on the drive. All these three sights had the adverse effect on him and his heart and mind began to grieve with full of miseries and sorrows.
These three sights always loomed in front of his eyes while rising, sitting, sleeping and walking. His heart was in great sorrow and storms appear in his heart. He has the inner desire in his mind to cure all the ills.
So in one midnight, in order to drive out the truth, he deserted his wife Yasodhara and child Rahul. There is no doubt he loved his wife and his child but he had inner desire to do something for mankind and humanity. He loved humanity more. He heard the call from his heart. a call of mankind that was suffering him with sorrows.
When he reached to a river, he said his driver Chandhak to get back to emperor gave the message to people of Kapilvastu should forgive him as he was left his empire for the greater cause of mankind.He started to study philosophy and give guidance to Brahmins and show them light and a right way. He roams from one place to another in search of peace of mind but he didn’t get serenity anywhere. Finally, he went to Gaya and has a lot of faith in his mind and heart for god and undertakes hard penances.
After that, he started to keep fasts and suffered many kinds of painful experiences in his life. He feels that several kinds of painful experiences bring an enlightenment in his life but all efforts go in vain. He was just a mere skeleton. Then after that, he gave up fasting and felt that such hardships were useless. During this time his five followers deserted him on the way.
It was a Bodh Gaya on the banks of Niranyna River he felt ill and cure of all pains and sufferings was revealed to him. So in the right sense, he has turned into Buddha and his life has totally changed and get enlightened. After this, he went to Sarnath near Banaras where he preached throughout Kosa and Magadhya. He dies at Kusinagar at the age of 80 in about B.C 483.
Buddha Purnima Celebration
Buddha Purnima is celebrated all over the world to commemorate of Gautham Buddha birth. Budha Poornima is also known by the name of Vaisakha Puja in India. Many devotees of this special day offer money as well as gives the donation to temple. On this day, people mostly wear white clothes.
On this day, many things offered to the statue of Buddha such as white clothes, incense stick, as well as flowers. Some people called Buddha Purnima as Buddha Jayanti. It mostly fells in the month of April or May according to Hindu calendar. It is celebrated almost in South East Asia countries. This festival is mostly celebrated by Buddhist.
